Both yoga and exercise can contribute to weight loss, but they approach it differently. Exercise, particularly cardio and high-intensity workouts, can burn more calories in a shorter amount of time, making it effective for weight loss. It also boosts metabolism, helping the body burn calories even after the workout is over. Yoga, on the other hand, may not burn as many calories as intense exercise, but it can still aid weight loss by promoting mindfulness, reducing stress, improving sleep, and encouraging healthier eating habits. Additionally, certain styles of yoga, such as power yoga or vinyasa flow, can provide a more vigorous workout that increases calorie expenditure. Ultimately, the best approach for weight loss depends on individual preferences, goals, and overall lifestyle. Combining both yoga and exercise can be a well-rounded approach to achieving weight loss and overall fitness. read less
