Yoga is a holistic practice that promotes physical health, mental clarity, and emotional balance. It originated in India and combines postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to create harmony between body and mind. The best type of yoga depends on your personal goals-whether you seek relaxation, strength, flexibility, or spiritual growth. Main types of yoga include: Hatha Yoga – A gentle and slow-paced style, ideal for beginners. Ashtanga Yoga – A structured and physically demanding sequence that builds strength and discipline. Vinyasa Yoga – A flowing style that links movement with breath. Kundalini Yoga – Focuses on breathwork, chanting, and meditation to awaken inner energy. Iyengar Yoga – Emphasizes proper alignment and uses props for safety and precision. Yin Yoga – A slow practice where poses are held longer to deeply stretch muscles and calm the mind. Each style offers unique benefits, so choosing the right one depends on what you want to achieve from your practice. read less
