It is an interesting question on yoga. The answer is Yoga helps in strengthening the existing positive attitudes.

For example - we feel happy sometimes with or without reason , from where does this happiness come. The scriptures say it was always there, we just recognize it once in a while through an external stimuli like when having a favorite drink, spending time with a loved one etc..
All of us are perfect knowledge, bliss and happiness yet we find it difficult to comprehend this. Postivity and happiness are our basic nature and our birth right, yoga helps us to recognize that.
All the asanas, pranayama and meditation is for owning up of our true happy nature only. «less

Well according to me, knowing Yoga in depth, either from getting into some Institute or like me, heritage or family background, can make you a Good Teacher. And this is not universal, u can ask some person who is into Yoga, to teach you about the same; even in this case u can get a mastery. But for all these, one thing is common, Patience. Yoga is all about Patience and Practice.

Tapas, Swadhyay Ishwarpranidhan kriya yoga..
Any one who is following yogic path and has practiced and practicing first four limbs of Astanga Yoga is doing Kriya yog.

In India we have various Institutes following are below:
1) Kaivalyadham Yoga Institue, Mumbai & Lonaval
Because yoga teacher are gone through various text on yoga such as Hathayoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita
& Patanjali Yoga Sutra, in examination you would have to learn the 196 sutra or aphorism and understand the meaning and various comments given be other authors...  more»

Worksheets are give, and the exam is quite rigourous. They also have to learn the shatkriyas i.e jalaneti, sutra neti, vaman dhauti, shankprakshalan and vastra dhauti

Your basic qualification to enroll for the course in minimum Graduation and 60% above passing marks in either science,arts or commerce.

and this course is for 1 year daily 4 hours in which 2 hours are practical and 2 hours theory except sunday.

2) The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, Mumbai
3) Bihar School of Yoga, Munger Bihar
4) The Sivananda Yoga, Rishikesh/Mysore
5) The Himalayan Yoga Institute, Rishikesh.
6) Iyengar Yoga Institute, Pune
7) Ashtanga Yoga, Pattabhijois, Mysore


& now slowly and steadily Yoga Alliance International is in form where courses of 200 hrs and 500 hrs are in much demand.

and sometimes it depends upon instructor who with experience and knowledge do better than most of the learned instructor.

Pranayama or breathing techniques that cool you down or lower your BP like Shitali, sheetkali. You could also try simple deep yogic breathing. Apart from this balancing asanas like tree pose or prayer pose really help in controlling anger for the future as it grounds you, balances you and increases focus, concentration and regulation within you.

If you are very good practitionar then only go to skype or any other medium. Otherwise call a teacher or join any center. Any wrong posture can give u a lot of trouble.

The human body is made up of five elements - Air, Water,Fire, Earth and Akash. Deficiencies of any of these element can be made up by placing or joining one component of body with the other ( basically hand and fingers ), Known as MUDRA.
Mudras start electromagnetic currents within the body which helps iv restoring balance among these elements resulting in good health.

Mudra is a sanskrit term refers to seal. To channelise the flow of energy for the given tattva or energy field (Chakra)

Mudras are also very effective for therapeutic benefits and kundalini meditations.

yoga should be practised in the early morning when sun rising this is the best and ideol time to perform yoga posters exercises and pranayam to avail maximum benefits of fresh air soothing morning conditions in the evening few specific yoga is to be practisised only for old people and patients suffering ailments we can prescribe them few exercise under supervision empty stomach...  more»

Yoga is a philosophical practice. If you have referred yoga for Asanas, then you need two to three hours after a meal is at least recommend. Whereas Yoga is a complete life style practice need to perform all through the day

Yes
With the help of yog and meditation you can improve your memory and concentration power as well. You need to do Tadasana, Tree Pose, Shishasana after finished asan you can do meditation and Dhyan 30 minutes daily.

Hi Manshi,

Meditation is a state of mind. so don't get confused by different names given to it. Some have a higher intellect and some have lower intellect. The names and the types are given to each intellect, whereas the ultimate goal is same in all the types of meditation.

Samadhi means samadhi, nothing disturbs you physically or mentally. you feel blessed and you can see the motion and changes hapening in your breath. your body feels like flying and so light like a feather.

Chakra meditation weekly once is enough for the normal life style. Depending upon your goals in yoga you can practise chakra meditation daily also.

I conduct chakra meditation weekly once in my students schedule.

Whereas your question about the branches is not clear to me. Can you please provide some more details.
