For a few minutes each day, we practice being fully here and now. The past is allowed to rest. The future is allowed to wait. When the mind is no longer pulled in different directions, attention becomes focused and energy becomes available. Whatever you do, you do with greater involvement, clarity, and efficiency. With regular meditation, this quality of presence gradually extends beyond the meditation session and begins to influence the rest of the day.
