Overview

By mistake I am an engineer as I never wanted to be one. Never wanted to be product of society but anyhow one has to live to the expectations of family and friends.
Since childhood some questions always bothered and I never found those answers in academics and professional life.
After every success there was something missing. So my whole life is a journey and will remain one, have been to numerous ashrams, survived numerous meditation sessions. Since childhood am fond of reading and spirituality is my main subject. Started meditation when I was 15 years old and till now all I know is that I know nothing.
Meditation is not something to be taught or learned, it just happens, one can just be a witness.
Meditation is when you are not !

How is meditation different from sleep?

My dear we are sleeping creatures and meditation is the only way to come out of our life long hibernation. Conscious sleep and all that are mere words and words are not things.

What are some Transcendental Meditation mantras?

Repetition of anything will make your mind quiet for sometime but that quietness is not silence. When you repeat something it becomes mechanical.

If i am ware that I am happy then I am not happy at all. There is difference between joy & happiness.

One cannot control his or her mind by effort. Any effort be it meditation to control your mind is further resistance.

What life skills are rarely taught but extremely useful?

Listening, watching, observing! Because we never listen, we only listen to reply, we never see a thing, words are not things. The moment we give a name to something we actually stop looking at it, we just identify things with names. Listening is an art & seeing is doing.
