You should not eat atleast for 4 hours before Yog . It may lead to harmful effects on your body. After yoga you may eat after one hour. There is no specific protocol for what to eat before and after but you should take easily digestive food and avoid spicy oily and junk food.

You should not eat anything at least 3_4 hours before yoga . And try to avoid always junk food, packaged food, processed food,sugar and maida. Always accept a healthy lifestyle.

Though heavy meals should be avoided, in case it happens, allow 3 – 4 hours to pass before starting your yoga practice; 1 to 2 hours after a light meal and 30 – 45 minutes after having juice, fresh fruits, etc. and 15 minutes after drinking water.

Practice yoga better on empty stomach. Or 3 hours after food. Before yoga better to drink water. After 2-3 hour yoga practice you may have healthy breakfast or lunch or dinner. Healthy — means vegetarian diet. Not oily or over fry. Just simple yogi food.
