Dear Radha Mohan ji, this is my reply to your comment based on my Surya namaskar variation. dear sir Surya namaskar is having lots of benefits as you also agreed and I also, but the is no evidence that modification of Surya namaskar is unhealthy or a problem creator. as per gheranda samitha there are 32 asanas, and 15 asanas according to hathpradipika, but these days hundreds of asana are in practice and giving benefits to all. some things are new and modified if a need of the human mind and we can be stuck on the old style as we are not sages, we are living in a modern world, and hence it is mandatory to redefine yoga as per modern needs.
You are a good yoga trainer, then why are you modifying Surya Namaskar? Surya Namaskar is a practice that consists of 8 asanas and 12 steps. Their systematic practice not only improves our physical level, but it also has a wonderful effect on our mental level. Therefore, do Surya Namaskar with its original form, it will be more effective and comfortable.
