I was not so sure whether I would be able to do yoga. I had gained a lot of weight over the years. I had been through and was going through a lot of stress. I was never into regular exercise. I had lived a sedentary lifestyle for many years. I knew I badly needed some exercise regime. I had tried gymming a few years back, but was not able to continue with it. So, i was a bit skeptical about it. I had not tried yoga after school, more than 25 years back. That is when my neighbor recommended Dr. Aparna's yoga classes, and I decided to give it a shot. My mother also joined with me. Dr. Aparna smoothly took us through different yogasanas that we did not even realize that we were new to this form of exercise. Her coaching helped me release stress, reduce weight, increased flexibility, reduced my acidity issues. The best thing was that I had whatever I felt like eating during Diwali ( including sweet at every meal ), but my weight was maintained. Not even half kilo rise. My mother also has similar experience. Her sugar and thyroid levels are now getting close to normal range. I see Dr. Aparna to be very sincere towards her work and is soft spoken.
