What is the Best Yoga Teacher Training? The best yoga teacher training is one that goes beyond just teaching asanas. It must empower the student with in-depth knowledge, practical experience, and holistic understanding of the human body, mind, and spirit. At Yogism Yoga Institute, we proudly offer a truly holistic approach to yoga teacher training—one that stands apart from others. Our unique curriculum combines: Psychology – to understand the inner mind of the practitioner and the role of mental health in yoga. Modern and Yogic Diet – to guide students in achieving balance through food that suits both modern lifestyles and traditional yogic principles. Ayurveda & Yoga Naturopathy – as the foundation for healing, preventive care, and personalized practice. Unlike many programs that focus only on physical postures, Yogism Yoga Institute requires a solid three-month foundation study of Yoga Basics, before you enter into teacher training. This includes deep study of ancient yoga texts such as: Patanjali Yoga Sutras – for understanding the philosophy and goal of yoga. Hatha Pradipika – for traditional practices of cleansing, breath control, and posture. Gheranda Samhita – for building discipline, strength, and a structured yogic routine. This well-rounded foundation gives students complete confidence in teaching yoga professionally and safely, rooted in authentic Indian tradition yet relevant to modern times. That is why Yogism Yoga Institute is not just a training center – it's a transformation center. read less

The best yoga teacher training is the one where a sincere student can clearly understand what is being taught. It should not be limited to lectures, but the teacher must also demonstrate the knowledge through practical experiments. A true yoga teacher training should include: Clear explanation of yoga with proper scriptural references. Practical demonstrations showing how that knowledge is useful in daily life. For example, in Pranayama: Normally, a person breathes about 20 times per minute. Each breath fills both lungs with about 600 grams of air, which makes it around 8 liters per minute. With regular practice of Anulom Vilom Pranayama, the breathing rate can reduce to about 4 breaths per minute. In this case, each breath can expand the lungs to take in more than 7 liters of air, making it around 28 liters per minute. Air contains about 21% oxygen. In normal breathing, the body absorbs about 2% oxygen. Through Anulom Vilom, the oxygen absorption can increase to about 8% per breath. Thus, with less effort, the body receives more oxygen. Such clear, practical, and scientific explanations along with practice make the training a truly best yoga teacher training. read less

The "best" yoga teacher training can vary depending on your personal goals, preferred style of yoga, budget, and the environment you're seeking. Many aspiring yoga teachers look for programs that are Yoga Alliance certified, offer experienced instructors, and provide a balance of practical and theoretical learning. Rishikesh, India, is widely regarded as one of the most authentic and spiritual places to study yoga, often referred to as the "Yoga Capital of the World." Among the well-established schools in Rishikesh is Rishikul Yogshala, which has gained recognition for offering traditional Hatha and Ashtanga-based teacher training programs. Students often appreciate its structured curriculum, emphasis on yogic philosophy, and immersive experience in a serene setting. Ultimately, the best yoga teacher training will align with your intentions—whether that's deepening your personal practice, learning to teach professionally, or exploring the philosophy behind yoga. It’s always recommended to research various schools, read reviews, and, if possible, speak to alumni before making a decision. read less
