If you are healthy and looking yoga for general fitness then also initially do it under supervision of yoga instructor then after few month you can do your own practice

You can. But without a Guru, your alignment in posture and breathing will be an issue. It will be any other exercise that you take up but not Yoga.In Yoga its not just enough that your body is flexible, but its needed that you body alignment is correct and you are not injuring yourself.
Yoga concentrates on rhythmic breathing and you will need to follow Guru's advice on breathing as you get in and get out of posture. For the same reason its not advisable to practice without a Guru.
