It will be any other exercise that you take up but not Yoga.In Yoga its not just enough that your body is flexible, but its needed that you body alignment is correct and you are not injuring yourself. Yoga concentrates on rhythmic breathing and you will need to follow Guru's advice on breathing as you get in and get out of posture. For the same reason its not advisable to practice without a Guru. read less

Is there any chance of getting injured while practicing yoga?
Yes there are if you do not follow your teachers instructions or you try to copy somebody. If you do not have the flexibility and try to push yourself beyond your capacity you will definitely injured yourself. So be safe and be sensible.
