With seven years of professional experience in Hindustani classical vocal music, Bollywood playback singing, and Western rock and pop music, I bring a diverse and rich musical background to my teaching practice. My formal education includes an MA in Hindustani Classical Music and Trinity Grade 6 certification in Western Music, which have provided me with a strong foundation in both traditional and contemporary music genres. I began my musical journey at a young age, dedicating 17 years to learning Hindustani classical music. This extensive training has not only deepened my understanding of traditional Indian music but also honed my skills as a performer and teacher. My experience includes working with notable organizations in the music industry, such as Front Row Company, where I served as a senior musician. I further advanced my career at RGM as a senior music executive, which allowed me to collaborate with various artists and gain valuable industry insights. Currently, I am an IB music teacher at Greenwood International School, where I apply my extensive knowledge and experience to educate students in a structured and engaging manner. My teaching approach integrates elements from different music styles, providing students with a well-rounded education in both classical and modern music. I offer both online and offline lessons, each lasting one hour. My teaching is highly personalized, focusing on one-on-one interactions to address individual student needs and preferences. The sessions are designed to be interactive and practical, allowing students to actively engage with the material and apply their learning in real-time. For Hindustani classical music, I emphasize the fundamental techniques, ragas, and taals, ensuring that students build a strong foundation in this rich tradition. In Bollywood playback singing, I help students develop their vocal techniques and performance skills, focusing on popular songs and styles. For Western rock and pop singing, my approach includes training in various vocal styles and techniques, drawing from my experience and training in Western music. In addition to vocal training, I provide various educational resources to support students' learning. This includes certificates upon course completion, audio recordings for practice, and supplementary materials such as books and PDFs. These resources are designed to enhance the learning experience and provide students with valuable tools for their musical development. Overall, my teaching philosophy is centered around creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can explore their musical interests, develop their skills, and achieve their personal goals. Whether through online or offline sessions, I strive to deliver high-quality instruction that fosters growth and inspires a lifelong passion for music.
