I have taken up Carnatic classes as a child and trained under Smt. Padmavathy Anathagopalan, Veenai specialist worldwide, who lives in Chennai. For 10 years I learnt all the stages of music from my teacher. I continued more studies under a Teacher at Coimbatore when we moved. From then on, I continued listening to songs and singing more and practicing at my own times. I am wiling to teach all those who are wiling to learn. I believe in having a strong basics, hence if we cant learn something we will always move back to the basics of that portion.

I am a Carnatic vocal teacher and I have been teaching for the past 2 years. I take private tuitions for kids, adults and also been conducting online classes for both kids, adults. My aim is to transfer my music knowledge and to train as many students as possible in Carnatic vocals. Apart from the syllabus, I also teach keerthanas and bhajans for the students.

I have around 28 years of experience in teaching music. I have been part of prestigious institutions like Pallikoodam in Kerala and Christel House India in Bangalore, a school for underprivileged children. Both these schools had Indian Music as a subject and I was responsible for teaching music right from Nursery to Class 12. My additional responsibilities included forming a choir, both junior and senior and making them perform for regular assemblies and special assemblies. I have taught my students songs in various languages like Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit, Bengali and Kannada. I have taught Veena, the instrument for 15 students at the same time in a group. I was also responsible for associating with the drama team when they put up dance and music dramas. Post the pandemic, I have been actively taking online classes in music for various age groups.
