I am a dedicated yoga instructor with 10 years of teaching experience and 35 years of personal yoga practice. Yoga has been an important part of my life for several decades, giving me a deep understanding of its techniques, principles, and benefits. Through my teaching, I aim to help students improve their flexibility, strength, posture, balance, and overall well-being. I believe that yoga is a holistic practice that supports both physical and mental wellness, and I encourage students to make it a regular part of their daily lives. I hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree and a Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Science (DNYS). I am also certified in Yoga Therapy and have completed a Diploma in Yoga Therapy based on the IAYT syllabus from Manushi Institute of Yoga, affiliated with the AYUSH Department, Government of India. In addition to these qualifications, I have completed around 20 certifications and training programmes related to yoga, yoga therapy, and wellness. My educational background and continued professional development have helped me expand my knowledge and provide well-informed guidance to students with different needs and goals. Over the years, I have had a rewarding journey as a yoga instructor, guiding students towards healthier and more balanced lifestyles. My 35 years of personal practice have allowed me to develop a strong understanding of the importance of consistency, patience, correct technique, and mindful movement. During my 10 years of teaching, I have helped students work towards improving their flexibility, strength, posture, relaxation, and general well-being. Seeing students make progress and develop a more positive relationship with their physical and mental health has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching journey. My approach to yoga focuses on understanding each student's individual requirements, physical abilities, experience, and personal goals. I believe that yoga should be practised with awareness and adapted to suit the individual rather than approached in the same way for everyone. I guide students in developing proper alignment, breathing awareness, balance, and controlled movements while encouraging them to progress at a comfortable pace. Whether a student is beginning their yoga journey or has prior experience, I aim to help them build a consistent practice and develop a deeper understanding of the techniques they perform. I also have a strong interest in yoga therapy and holistic wellness. My training in naturopathy, yogic science, and yoga therapy has helped me understand the relationship between lifestyle, movement, relaxation, and overall well-being. I have completed a foundational course in Ayurveda to learn more about different body types and their individual needs. Additionally, I have completed a nutrition course through a plant-based vegan association, which has broadened my understanding of nutrition and its role in a balanced lifestyle. I use this knowledge to support a more comprehensive approach to wellness while recognising that individual needs and circumstances can vary. My achievements include winning medals in yoga competitions and earning international certifications in yoga. I have also completed approximately 20 certifications and training programmes across yoga, yoga therapy, nutrition, and wellness. These accomplishments reflect my dedication to continuous learning and my commitment to developing my skills as an instructor. I believe that a good yoga teacher should continue learning, refining techniques, and deepening their understanding of the practice so that students receive thoughtful and effective guidance. I bring this commitment to every class and encourage students to approach yoga with patience, discipline, and an open mind. I conduct online yoga classes and strive to create a supportive and comfortable environment where students can practise with confidence. My goal is to help each student develop a sustainable yoga routine that fits their abilities and lifestyle while improving body awareness, flexibility, balance, and relaxation. I encourage regular practice and mindful participation rather than rushing towards advanced postures. Through my experience, qualifications, and passion for yoga, I aim to guide students towards a healthier, more balanced, and more mindful way of living, making yoga a valuable part of their long-term wellness journey.
