As a musician, I'm well versed in music forms such as Jazz, Blues and Rock. I've been trained in western classical guitar for five years and later chose to master the advance techniques through self learning. I have worked in Bollywood for a period of three years and have taken up assignments with Shreya Ghoshal, Hariharan and Shankar Mahadevan. As your tutor, I will design your individual practice time-tables, create a unique learning module and above all, help you have fun as you learn the guitar. I was born into a family enriched with cultural environment in Dhaka and started my musical journey at a very young age inspired by my father.I continued my learning after moved to Kolkata and completed my masters in classical music from Rabindra Bharati University(1979).My passion, experience and learning to classical music(Bishnupur Gharana) was enriched by renowned music legend Pt. & Prof. Amiya Ranjan Bandhopadhyay for nearly 16 years. I also had interest in Bhajan and Najrul Geeti and enhanced under the tutelage of eminent Prof Chandidas Maal (Bhajan) and Biman Mukhopadhyay(Najrul Geeti). I am a senior diploma holder in Rabindra Sangeet from "Surer Maya Sangit Samaj", West Bengal.I participated in multiple workshops conducted by West Bengal state sangeet academy and judged in several institutes and functions including Rabindra Bharati University.I am teaching and sharing my huge experience in Hindustani Classical music to students of different age for last two decades in Kolkata and recently shifted to Bangalore. I would like to continue my teaching and enhance experience with students here as well.
