Hello! I’m Shruthy, a dedicated Carnatic vocal music teacher with a BA and MA in Carnatic Music. I’ve been teaching for 9 years, starting from my college days, and it has been a truly rewarding journey. My experiences working with esteemed institutions like Udupa Foundation and RTM Academy have greatly enriched my teaching, and I also conduct private classes at home, where I can give personalized attention to my students. Music has always been my passion, and I believe in making learning an enjoyable and interactive experience for my students. I offer both offline and online lessons, and the duration of each class typically ranges from 30 to 45 minutes. My teaching is designed to cater to students of all age groups, from beginners to advanced learners. During each session, I focus on practical vocal techniques, ensuring that students get a solid foundation while also encouraging them to express themselves musically. What makes my classes unique is the focus on live demonstrations, where I sing alongside my students to help them grasp the nuances of the music. This hands-on approach allows them to understand the rhythm, melody, and intricate aspects of Carnatic music in a more tangible way. I believe in creating a comfortable and encouraging environment where my students feel free to explore their voice and grow as performers. In addition to teaching, I’ve had the privilege of performing at significant events, including Rajanirajanam in Tirupati and concerts in Bangalore. These performances have been integral in shaping my own musical journey and have deepened my understanding of the art form, which I then pass on to my students. I also provide notes to my students, which help them practice and refine their vocal techniques outside of the lessons. These notes include essential tips on breath control, pitch, rhythm, and proper vocal care, all of which are crucial for advancing in Carnatic vocal music. Through my classes, I hope to inspire my students not only to master Carnatic music but also to develop a lifelong appreciation for it. Whether they’re learning for personal enrichment or aiming for performances, I’m here to guide them on their musical journey.

I am an expert in the Percussion instrument, passionately practicing my skills as a Tabla artist/player for over 15 years now. In all these years, I have invested undivided attention towards the instrument, to observe, learn, and understand the subtle nuances, as well as skills required to ascend and ascertain his craftmanship with the Tabla Instrument. Being a disciple of Kiran Godkhindi, i have been at his best to continue with the Guru-Shishya parampara, that he imbibed during his learning days, where he is now more eager than ever before, to share his insights about various aspects of the instrument, music, and other related subjects. And thus, he’s all the more excited and looking forward to teaching, as well practice Hindustani Classical music, in schools, institutes as well as online classes, to cover a vast set of modes and mediums. Blessed with keen hand-eye coordination, Harsha R got introduced to Tabla at the tender age of 10, when he accompanied his uncle for theatre shows, stage performances, musical events, and other extravaganza events that invoked a festive atmosphere. His performances are greatly influenced by folk art that has inspired him the most, since his childhood.
