There is no any difference between YOG and YOGA. Only thing that while sayig Yoga say or read as "योग" do not say or read as YOGA "योगा".

But whenever a Sanskrit term is written in English, some grammatical rules are to be followed. Like, any or every nown, if having a complete letter at the end of that word, will have a swar अ. That means - योग is य् + ओ +‌‌ ग् + अ So, it's written in English YOGA but pronounced Yog. योगा (Yogaa) is the wrong pronounciation.
