Doing yoga at night can be beneficial for some people, but it depends on individual preferences and goals. Here are some considerations: 1. **Relaxation:** Evening yoga can help to unwind and relax the body and mind after a busy day, preparing you for a restful night's sleep. 2. **Stress Reduction:** Yoga can help to reduce stress and tension accumulated throughout the day, promoting a sense of calm and well-being before bedtime. 3. **Sleep Quality:** Certain yoga poses and breathing techniques can promote better sleep by calming the nervous system and reducing insomnia symptoms. 4. **Flexibility:** Some people find that they are more flexible in the evening, which can make certain yoga poses easier and more comfortable to perform. However, it's essential to consider individual factors such as energy levels, schedule, and personal preferences. For some individuals, vigorous or stimulating yoga practices in the evening may interfere with sleep, while others may find it energizing. Experiment with different times of day to see what works best for you and listen to your body's cues. If you find that evening yoga disrupts your sleep or leaves you feeling too energized, you may prefer to practice earlier in the day or choose gentler, restorative practices before bedtime. read less

Just because you cannot do yoga at the crack of the dawn or in the afternoon does not mean that you should completely write off yoga from your daily routine. The good news is that you can fit yoga into your schedule any time of the day. There is no harm in practising yoga late at night. If you are working in a corporate MNC, practising yoga late at night could be the only option you have. However, according to yoga expert Pragya Bhatt you need to abide by a few guidelines before practising yoga late at night. Here is the right time to practice surya namaskar. You should not perform yoga asanas at least 2-3 hours after a meal. You can eat some fruits after your practice and have your dinner by 6.30 if you intend to practice at 9 pm. It can be a good idea to perform a few restorative yoga asanas at night. Certain poses are calming and invigorating and are in fact best done in the evening or night. Try forward bends like paschimottanasana or seated forward bending pose and uttanasana intense forward bending pose to soothe your spine. Twisting asana such as the seated spinal twist will help you de-stress and detoxify. You also need to make sure that you end your yoga practice with yoga nidra. Yoga nidra will help create a peaceful transition between your practice and your day. You can also practice yoga nidra at office before heading home to relieve your work stress. After you are done with your yoga session, you need to wait an hour before you hit the sack. Do not practice yoga late night if you are in the first two days of your menstrual cycle. Also, late night yoga may not be a good idea if you are pregnant. read less

Not really, latest you should do it is at sunset time, post that not advisable. Ideally you should be empty stomach, and if you've had food then a good gap of 2-3 hours should be given before doing yoga. Morning is the best time, if unable to do then latest do it by evening time
