Very Good Question.I dont know from how much depth of awareness you are asking this question. But the purpose of yog not yoga the Asanas is to have the knowledge of death before death.

by learning to die while alive....when we learn to die every moment, then death is just a continuation of our existence....it will be a joyful transition.

Yoga is not any preparation for Death, but yes it will help to get Moksha (Rid from Birth and Death cycle).
