Karma yoga accomplishes this through the performance of actions without desire, jñāna yoga accomplishes it through the knowledge of the Self, and bhakti yoga accomplishes this through personal worship and devotion of a chosen god. Yoga itself includes meditation, it's not two. And it's doesn't matter which yoga you start to follow, all includes meditation. Even more, each one of yoga (Karma, Jhana an Bhakti) can not exist without another two, otherwise it will be not yoga.
