People ask me what to have before a workout. ( weight training), The answer is taking simple carbs, because carbs (carbohydrates) are the primary source of Energy.

We have two type of carbs one is pure carbs, and another one is complex carbs.

The difference between simple carbs and complex carbs is, simple carbs will digest soon, and it will provide energy for a short duration, and complex carbs will take some time to get digest but give power for a more extended period.

  1. So, if you have complex carbs before a workout, it will take a longer duration to digest so you may get vomiting sensation.
  2. So, have Simple carbs it will digest soon and gives you energy approximately 45 to 60 minutes.

Once the BP reduces you can start with some mild exercises, including yoga, under the guidance of an instructor. In the long run, exercise, pranayama and the correct diet can help normalise high BP and may even get you off medicines.

That is because few of the poses in yoga are contraindicated for BP you must avoid it and do the rest of the practices. Finding a good teacher will address your situation. More focus should be given for breathing practices only asanas does not help. Hope this helps. Thank you.
