Yes. Everyone I know who got into good shape did it without personal trainers. The only time I’ve ever seen trainers do any good is for people that are already in good shape that are preparing for a sport or contest. Also personal trainers seem to do well with celebrities whose career requires them to be in good shape. I’ve never seen a personal trainer take an out shape of person and transform them into a fit person. Every one of them failed or had results that were barely noticeable. Since personal trainers aren’t cheap, I’d recommend against one since spending a large amount of money doing something you probably do not like isn’t something you likely will stick to. I recommend just getting a program off the internet and go to a gym with a lot of fit people and just try to get friendly advice whenever you can get it. read less

When you look at it, it is one of the only job that will pay 6 figures without much education....

When you look at it, it is one of the only job that will pay 6 figures without much education. In fact, many personal trainers earn more than chiropractors who have done 6 more years of formal education than them. The distinguishing feature in any job is this: does the person constantly refine their skills…like Bruce Lee, who went to see the top person in every martial art to refine what became his own martial art: Jeet Kune Do. read less
