Can meditation improve empathy and compassion?

Empathy and compassion is something you feel and these emotions you can not feel if you are disconnected from yourself or don't know who you really are. Mediation helps you to connect with yourself and in result it will enhance good emotions you feel for yourself and others around you.

When we are practising meditation then we are connecting ourself from our higher self and understand that we are connected to our surrounding and all the species and this brings empathy and compassion in us.
