Is investing a good amount for HR training courses worth it?

No. Take a residential course of full time two year from XLRI, IIM, XISS or any reputed institutes. After that you will be the Trainer. For regular updation you can take some training on PMS, SAP-HR, Training(course of ISTD, Delhi), but MBA from a good institute is a must.
