I teach vocal music with a specialization in Hindustani classical music, guiding students through a structured and enriching musical journey. With 5 years of teaching experience, I work with both beginners and intermediate learners, helping them develop their voice and understanding of classical music step by step. My formal educational qualification is S.S.L.C, but my true expertise comes from over 20 years of dedicated training in Hindustani classical music. I have trained under the Gwalior Gharana and Kirana Gharana through the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara, which has given me a deep and authentic understanding of both the technical and expressive aspects of music. I begin my training with the basics, ensuring that students build a strong foundation in voice culture, voice modulation, and essential vocal exercises. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style based on individual needs, pace, and comfort level to make the learning process effective and enjoyable. My sessions are flexible, and I am comfortable conducting both individual and group classes, either online or face-to-face. I focus on creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel confident to practice, experiment, and improve their singing skills. In my classes, I cover key elements of Hindustani classical music such as Alankars, Bandish, Khyal, Tarana, as well as Bhajans and light music. I also emphasize the importance of tala (rhythm) and raga (melody), helping students develop both technical precision and emotional expression in their singing. My goal is to nurture students into confident performers by providing systematic training and continuous guidance. I aim to help each student not only learn music but also develop a deeper appreciation for the art form. Through consistent practice, personalized attention, and a strong classical foundation, I strive to help my students grow into well-rounded vocalists with confidence and clarity in their musical journey.

Students can expect to be exposed to a range of preparatory techniques for learning musical skills, including meditation, breathing, and voice culture. The approach is first principles based and emphasis is laid on the acquisition of perfect knowledge of the notes which are then used to build the phrases of Raga music. I have trained as vocalist in the Guru-Disciple tradition of Hindustani classical music. I have taught performed, and researched singing, and published in academic journal (Problems of Music Pedagogy, 2019). I have been adjunct faculty at Azim Premji University, Bangalore (Understanding the World Through Music), National School of Drama, Bangalore chapter (Voice and Speech), and an adviser at the Centre for Public Understanding of Science, Bangalore, India. As cofounder at Osage, I have engaged in directing theatrical productions with children and young adults and actively promoting Osage on Music, a channel on YouTube.

I am an Engineer by profession and also a Musician by passion. I am available to teach music to kids from my home or online. I am a certified Carnatic classical singer and also completed Junior in Music board exams and also pursuing my Learning to complete MA in music. I have had the opportunities to perform at various stages and have the interest to spread Carnatic classical music to bigenners.
