We at Swasti Yoga help our patients suffering from various chronic diseases like arthritis, backache, migraine, thyroid and gynaecological disorders and many more to lead a healthy quality of life.

Swasti Yoga program incorporates various types and styles of yoga. It is mainly inspired from Ashtang and Hath yoga. Preventive yoga and curative yoga are specialties of our program.
PREVENTIVE – Based upon the Hatha yoga practice, it is tailored for the mainstream members. It utilizes strength, flexibility, balance and power to give you a full workout.
THERAPEUTIC – Addresses all levels – of the healing process to promote health, function and enhanced quality of life for special populations (e.g., heart patients, hypertensive, obesity, arthritis, cancer survivors or others with physical limitations).
We make sure that you do yoga that is most appropriate to your condition and your skill level.

Trainer Dr. Vikas Chothe is an MD doctor with Yoga and Ayurveda as his specialized subjects. He is an international speaker, social activist and medical practitioner and art therapist.

SAFETY
Instructor team consists of MD Ayurveda doctors, yoga experts which minimizes your risk of injury as well as have CPR or first aid to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.

"Can a householder follow Yoga?..Lets discuss" in   Health and Fitness/Yoga

Today Yoga has been made very complex and presented as if it an acrobatic feat! Folks, the literary meaning of Yoga is UNION. Sparing some time for oneself and uniting our senses (body) with our mind is also a form of yoga! Simple things like speaking truth, non violence, no stealing, integrity (in ones job), cleanliness (physical and mental), satisfaction, dignity of labor and remembering the almighty are the basic simplest forms of YOGA which any householder can start with, but are found difficult even for a greatest Yogi.

"Why Yoga is misinterpreted nowadays as a bodily conception? Lets discuss. -- Yoga acharya Karthik " in   Health and Fitness/Yoga

For common people it is always difficult to understand metaphysical concepts like dhyan, moksha as they do not have dimensions for visualization. That is the reason the concept of Yoga = asanas (yogic postures) have flourished especially in western world. In Astang Yoga, as the previous speakers have said, the first two: Yama ( social code of conduct) and Niyama ( personal code of conduct) are essential to master before learning asanas (yogic postures). The importance of Yama and Niyama can be explained by a simple metaphor. An artist cannot paint canvas which is muddy and filthy, similarly a person cannot become a true yogi unless he practices Yama and Niyama in his daily life. These are also termed as sadvritta or good conduct in Ayurveda.

"Tell me Yoga and meditation for hypertension?" in   Health and Fitness/Yoga

Asanas or yogic poses like pavanmuktasana, shavasana in sleeping position, veerasana, parvatasana in standing and swastikasanain sitting positions have helped my patients with hypertension. For patients with malignant hypertension asanas like pavanmuktasan and makarasana have to be done under supervision of expert or doctor. Shitali prananyama, swasti cool meditation exercises also help hypertensive patients a lot!
