Stress in the mind is a state of presence (appearance) of turbulent thoughts or imaginations of the past or future of your life. Whenever you are stressed, firstly try to remain calm..How ? the nature has given us a very useful tool to help us in stress .. that is our respiration. Try to observe the respiration which you will find abnormal, restless and rapid, the breath will become faster. Now, use that same tool (your rapid respiration) by bringing your concentration at the entrance of the nostril ( entrance and exit of our breath) observing, watching it, as it is ..for some time. you will find gradually mind is becoming calm slowly, and thus you will come out of the stress. Please follow the steps accordingly ... 1. Whenever you feel stressed, sit down in one place for some time. 2. Watch and observe your respiration (which is abnormal and rapid) at the entrance of your nostril. 3. Ignore the thoughts( due to which stress occurred) and Keep observing the same natural breathing as it is. 4. Do not try to divert your attention to any other objects or imaginations (countering thoughts) and simply, patiently, observe the breath for some time. 5. your mind may wonder again and again to the same thoughts ...but gently bring your attention back to the work of observing the breath at the entrance of the nostril. Do it continuously.. 6. Gradually, your mind will become quite and calm and thus the stress (turbulent thoughts) will also go away. 7. Try and practice he method... you will certainly get result of coming out of stress and its turbulences. Best wishes. read less
