Established in 1983 by V Padma Kalyan. Sanchalana School of Dance is a Art School affiliated to Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarhsince 2012, primarily focused in teaching Kuchipudi Dance. Now the school also added other fine arts like Bharatnatyam, Carnatic Vocal, Painting to its teachings. School offers junior diploma, senior diploma, BA and MA training in respective art fields. Sanchalana School of Dance is located in Saket, Hyderabad (Main branch) also has 15 other branches in and around Hyderabad. The main objective of the school is to create awareness in the people mind that all arts can be learnt in an academical way to become a professional artist.

Dr. Patinjarayil Rama Devi, hails from a Malayalee Nair family in Kerala. Under her mother's able guidance, she began learning this divine art form at the age of five under Guru Sri Mahankali Srimannarayana garu in Bapatla, Guntur. She had soon performed all over the state and also throughout the country at University level. After her marriage with Sri. Prasan Kumar, she came to Hyderabad and enrolled for the Certificate and Diploma courses at the Bhakta Ramadasa Music and Dance college, Secunderabad under Guru Sri Prasanna Rani garu. Her enthusiasm to learn further got her into Potti Sriramulu Telugu University for Masters in Arts in Kuchipudi dance. She was under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Uma Rama Rao garu and Bhagavatula Seethuram garu. She topped the Masters in Arts with Honors and was awarded the Gold Medal in the year 2000. Simultaneously, she established her own dance institute "Sri Sai Nataraja Academy of Kuchipudi Dance" and trained several young artists. She has given all she can and will continue to contribute to this divine dance form till her end.
