For the past five years, I have been teaching Hindustani Classical Vocal Music to students of all age groups from India, the UK, the USA, and Canada, both online and in person. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have varied learning goals, whether it be developing a new hobby, pursuing music seriously, or aspiring to build a career in it. My teaching style blends essential traditional techniques with a holistic approach to learning music. I draw inspiration from everyday life to create relatable and engaging lessons. I emphasize vocal preparation through various exercises to ensure that students can handle any genre with confidence. In addition to classical Khayal, I teach semi-classical forms such as thumris, dadras, and tappas. I am also adept at teaching devotional and Bollywood songs, focusing on compositions rooted in classical traditions. My goal is to guide each student on their unique musical journey, fostering both skill and a deep appreciation for the art form.
