I teach vocal music at UrbanPro and have been passionately training students for over 50 years. My journey in music has allowed me to guide countless students in developing their voice, musicality, and performance skills. I focus on nurturing each student’s individual talent while instilling a deep appreciation for the art of music. I hold a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sangeet, Prabhakar, from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. My formal training, combined with decades of practical experience, has given me a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of music. I have also performed as a vocalist at Kolkata AIR and participated in numerous cultural events across India, which has enriched my understanding of performance and stagecraft. Over the years, I have guided students in a variety of musical styles according to their interests. They can learn Bengali music, including Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, Rajani Kanto, Adhunik songs, and Kirtan. I also teach Hindustani Classical music (Raag-Ragini) and Semi-Classical forms such as Bhajans and Ghazals. My teaching approach is tailored to each student, allowing them to explore and excel in the style they are most passionate about. In addition to vocal training, I teach students to play instruments such as the harmonium and keyboard. This holistic approach ensures that learners develop a well-rounded understanding of music, combining vocal and instrumental skills to enhance their overall musical abilities. I conduct both online and offline classes, making learning accessible and convenient for students. My sessions are interactive and practical-based, combining theory with hands-on exercises. I follow a structured lesson plan that guides students step by step, ensuring continuous progress and skill development. My teaching methodology emphasizes clarity, patience, and consistency. I work with students to strengthen their fundamentals, improve their vocal technique, and build confidence in performance. Each class is designed to be engaging, enjoyable, and goal-oriented. Since 2018, I have been providing online tabla tuition from my home. My tabla training began in 2000 under the guidance of Pandit Samar Saha. Over the years, I have received several awards in various competitions, reflecting my dedication and skill in this art form.
