I am a professional mridanga player. Have taught and guided lot of students to excel in there playing capabilities. I have lot of experience in teaching. Have taught students abroad too. I strive to teach students who are passionate about the instrument.

I am South Indian classical flutist from Bangalore . I teach Flute and carnatic vocal Music at my residence 'Dattatreya music academy ' in J P Nagar.Online Carnatic Vocal and Flute are offered using skype or Facetime. I maintain blog called carnatic music repository. I am an engineer by education and a flutist by passion. I am playing flute from 1992 under the guidance of veteran flutist Sangeeta Kalaratna Vidwan B Shankar Rao , a direct and one of the senior most disciples of flute maestro T R Mahalingam. I have attended carnatic vocal music workshops conducted by doyens of Carnatic music like Sangeeta kalanidhi Sri Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, Prince Rama Varma and Chitraveena N Ravikiran. I am performing artist and very passionate about teaching flute and vocal music. I have given several flute concerts and stage performances. I have presented demonstration lecture on 'Holistic Aspects of Music Therapyâ?? in an international seminar, â??Sambrahmaâ??, conducted at Kannada Bhavan in August 2007, which was well received, appreciated and mentioned in The Hindu newspaper.

I have done my 'Visharad' under Lucknow University (Bhatkhanda). Performed in school, college & also in various cultural programme apart from performing in TV & Radio. I have been instrumental in playing not only Tabla, also Mridangam, KHOL,Dholok,etc. My way of teaching is purely traditional & I encourage people to learn rhythm first, create interest & ensure learning by practice & performance only. We learn by more & more practice & by experience while performing. I also encourage ladies to learn Tabla & teach their wards subsequently. Music plays an important role to eradicate all illness & brings peace & harmony in family. It also bonds family & strengthens togetherness. Another way of looking into learning Tabla is that it helps improve concentration & confidence.
