Hi! I am Swati Jakhmola, Bharatanatyam and Odissi dancer & teacher. I teach both the dance forms.I have a Graduate diploma from the prestigious Kalakshetra Foundation,Chennai.I have been performing at various prestigious platforms in India and abroad. I am devoted and dedicated to serve classical dance and determined to spread this beautiful art form all over the world. I believe that if you practice and if you work hard enough that you can be a great dancer. You just need passion and i have a lot of patience, and I'm very understanding. I want each and every one of the people i work with to be happy, and feel comfortable with themselves.

I have learnt dance since the age of 7 and as a teacher have been teaching it for 7-8 years. I am based in Bangalore and work in Kerala also and teach online.

I am an engineer by education, through dance has always been my passion. Dancing since age 9, I grew up learning various dance forms. But Folk, Bollywood and Folk Bellydance grew closer to my heart, and I started taking it seriously. The turning point came when I won State folk dance competition and soon afterwards, I started teaching. Like its said, "Knowledge grows when you start teaching and learn from your students". I am a 27-year-old professional Kathak and semi-classical dancer with 16 years of experience (Including Learning and teaching). I choreograph and teach Kathak and Semi classical choreographies also teach Bengali Rabindra Nritya, currently based in Bangalore.

I have trained and performed Bharatanatyam under Guru Smt. Revathi Srinivasraghavan at Nrityaranjani Fine Arts Mumbai, for over 2 decades. With titles of Nritya Alankar and Natya Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, I am recognized as a Graded Doordarshan Artist. I have also received the prestigious Government Scholarship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) in New Delhi and been honored with a Spic Macay Gurukul Scholarship. I am a solo performer, I have performed in prestigious venues like NCPA Mumbai, The Fine Arts Society Mumbai, Parthasarathy Swami Sabha Chennai, Ananya Samarpana Bengaluru, Manthana Festival Mangaluru, to name a few. I have also performed solo abroad in Dubai, London, Den Haag and the USA. I have also performed as part of Padmashree Late Smt Saroja Vaidyanathan's troupe at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in front of PM Narendra Modi and other parliamentarians. I have won numerous awards as well like IIT Mood Indigo, Yuva Nrithyotsava, Swar Sadhana National competition to name a few. Besides Bharatanatyam, I hold a Master's in Finance, worked as a Risk Analyst at Ernst and Young, and as a UX Designer at Lollypop Design Studios. The classes will be structured as per the students needs and goals. Focus will be on holistic development where along with creative thinking exercises, physical warm up, cool down and dance essential workouts will be practiced. As theoretical knowledge about the art form is essential, teaching will include practice of Talam, nattuvangam, theory readings and also exposure to Indian culture and mythology.
