I teach English to students from Classes 6 to 10 and have around 5 years of teaching experience. Over the years, I have worked with young learners in both school and online learning environments, which has helped me understand the different ways students learn and the kind of support they need at each stage. My goal is to make English easy to understand, engaging to learn, and useful beyond just examinations. I have completed my postgraduate studies in English Literature and also hold a B.Ed. degree. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in English language and literature, while my professional training in education has helped me develop a structured and student-focused approach to teaching. I believe that a good understanding of the subject, combined with the right teaching methodology, can make a significant difference in a student's learning journey. For the past 5 years, I have been working at some of the top international schools in Pune. This experience has given me the opportunity to teach students from diverse backgrounds and understand their different academic needs. Along with classroom teaching, I have also taught students online through various ed-tech platforms. My experience across both offline and online learning environments allows me to adapt my teaching methods according to the student's requirements. My classes focus on developing all the important aspects of English, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and communication skills. I believe that learning English should not be limited to memorising grammatical rules or preparing answers for examinations. Students should be able to understand the language, use it confidently, express their thoughts clearly, and develop strong communication skills that will benefit them academically as well as personally. I conduct interactive sessions where students are encouraged to participate actively rather than simply listen to the lesson. I use PPTs and a digital whiteboard to explain concepts, present examples, and make lessons more organised and engaging. I also encourage students to ask questions, share their ideas, and participate in discussions so that they can gradually become more confident in using English. My experience of travelling extensively around the world has also given me an opportunity to interact with people from different backgrounds and cultures. These experiences have helped me develop a broader perspective and strengthened my belief in inclusivity, diversity, and democratic values. I try to bring this perspective into my teaching by creating a learning environment where students feel respected, comfortable, and encouraged to express themselves. As a teacher, I am passionate about nurturing young learners and helping them become confident users of the English language. I focus on understanding the individual needs of my students and providing them with the right guidance and practice to improve. Whether a student wants to strengthen their grammar, expand their vocabulary, improve reading and writing skills, or become more confident in communication, I aim to provide structured, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences.
