I feel it's ability to "put to practice" what one has learnt. Better ability to learn ensures that one is able to understand and imbibe new concepts much quicker than others. It also helps one appreciate the nuances of various aspects of personality development. Ability to teach may perhaps have more importance if one is into that kind of a role where we have to explain things to others. However, it is easier to teach if we can exhibit the traits that we intend to teach. And hence it is the ability to put to practice what we have learnt that ensures real development of an individual. As individuals, we are all exposed to the various concepts and theories of becoming a person with a good personality. We are bombarded with all kinds of interesting information through various social media on how to become a better person. But just that knowledge, even if we read it and understand brings in no change in us, unless the change happens within us and we put that knowledge to practice.
