Making a Good First Impression is imperative to become an influential person. The truth is that over 80% of the messages we convey are visual. The visual cues speak louder than words. They are, in fact the first few elements that strangers see when they meet you.
First impressions are impressions that strangers form of us within 3 to 7 seconds of the meeting. Some call it snapshots of one’s personality. In those 3 to 7 seconds followed by another 30 seconds, the person you meet decides whether they want to know more about you and go ahead with the conversation or move on. It might be hard for you to believe that the time frame available to you to make an impact is the time it takes to say Hello, Offer a Handshake and make the opening comment.
The unforgiving truth about First Impressions;, however, is that once they are formed, they are imprinted on the mind of the other person practically forever, making them the lasting ones.
Hence the saying “FIRST IMPRESSION IS THE LAST IMPRESSION.”
