Hi Venkat, You get 60 minutes for IELTS-READING. There is no separate time set aside for rechecking. But whether you get time to recheck your reading answers or not depends on your Reading speed and how quickly you are able to solve the questions. For scoring 8 bands you should be able to solve the Reading test in 50 minutes and devote 10 minutes to checking your answers both in terms of accuracy and spelling of your answer. Yes rechecking makes a huge difference if you require a high score on Reading. Another thing I recommend is to write the answer in the final answer sheet directly. do not leave the filling up of answers till the end as sometimes while transferring answers in a hurry if you miss one in the sequence, the whole score will go for a toss. read less

As such you dont get any extra time for rechecking. You have to do evrything within those 60min. Try to complete each section within 15-18min. Once your are done with your whole test and feel little uncertain about any of the questions answered, then you can spend the remaining time on your rechecking....

But you dont get any extra time after 1 hour. read less

Yes definetely if you practice more in time managment. Rechecking is usefull and catch you more marks as the mistakes are corrected.
