Dear Sonu,

Improving fluency in any language involves a combination of many factors :

  1. Continuous exposure to the language in conversations, films, books etc.: If you are in an English speaking environment, you will become fluent much faster than you would otherwise.
  2. Understanding grammatical structures and complex sentences: Practice exercises from the internet or grammar books also help provide this foundation.
  3. Structured and guided practice of mock situations in a course or class
  4. Free speaking practises on different topics( both prepared and spontaneous) without worrying about mistakes.
  5. Finally, while it is possible to become fluent in any language by trying some or all of the above, formal English training classes greatly accelerate the process. You will improve much faster if you join a spoken English class. But, remember, merely attending classes is not enough. Practice during and after the classes is essential!

Hello!

Greetings of the day!

To improve your fluency in spoken English, you can do various activities like:

  1. Read the editorial columns of the English newspaper. Mark(underline) the words you don't understand, find their meaning and help you with your vocabulary.
  2. Speak in English as much as you can, no matter how good or bad.
  3. To build more confidence in English speaking, you can practice speech by looking yourself in the mirror. This technique works because once you are capable of facing yourself, you can face the world.

I would strongly recommend the technique named 'Shadowing'. Do search it on youtube and you'll come to know how it really works. In this technique, you are supposed to repeatedly repeat a sentence after a certain English man or woman. This will improve your fluency and will make you understand the actual pronunciation of the word. During, practising the technique, you will also come across some great vocab. Your listening will also get better as it would make you concentrate and then speak. Next method that would also work wonders is Mirror practising. Communicating with yourself in front of the mirror will help you to get rid of hesitation.
