Well, to some it may seem to be a trivial question but, for me it is very relevant and I encounter this situation on a regularbasis, particularly for students who are chasing INTAKES and the deadlines thereof. Set up a tight schedule, do a proper SWOT analysis. Speaking-Look at the questions and the structure. If you feel your are comfortable with the English language, do no waste your time. Just scrutinize the structure and, in the test, just respond as naturally as you can, and you will be ok. Fro writing, lookup some grade answers from the Cambridge books and look at the difference between 5.5 and 6, or 6.5 and 7. Pay attention to the remarks given there and READ as many sample answers as you can. For Reading and Listening, becuase it a number based test, look up the requisite required score from the IELTS calculator, and once you start getting the band/s, keep practicing. Particularly for Reading, pay attention to the time management. Durinh practice, ensure that you are able to answer all the 40 question within the stipulated 60 mnutes, hopefully with few minutes to spare for revision and checks. read less
