It has been considered a tough and major section by IELTS examinees. While continuous practice is the first key to master the IELTS reading test.

IELTS Reading Section Tips and Tactics

Here is suggesting some more smart moves that can make the IELTS Reading section easier and less time consuming.

a) Brief answers
Reading instructions is very important in the reading test of IELTS exam. If the question mentions, answer in two words 0 make, sure you use only two words. Extra content wont fetch you better marks. So right to the point brief answers is the key for a good score and fast attempt of IELTS Reading test.

b) Notes and points
You can make note of important facts, dates or mentions in the question paper. Underlining important parts of the passage is also permitted. However, you cannot do these on the answer script. So its suggested accumulate all the answers on the questionnaire first and then fair it up on the answer script. Extra time to jot down your answers on the fair copy is allotted in the IELTS reading test.

c) Summing up answers
In the last one hour (approx) of IELTS Reading test, when you are putting your answers on the fair sheet, make sure its presentable and readable for the examiner. Mention only the right answers and do not scribble or doodle on this sheet of paper. All your notes and facts can be marked on the question paper of IELTS exam.

d) Reading speed and pace
As every section of the IELTS exam is time bound, so is the Reading section. Its recommended to maintain the same speed and flow from start to end. Examinees who have ample practice of IELTS reading test knows their speed and pace. However, regulated speed and pace, leaves scope for right answers followed by good IELTS score.

e) Use pencil
A strict instruction in the IELTS Reading test is, it needs to be answered with pencil. Students often make a mistake in this simple stationery requirement. Before the day of IELTS exam, make sure your stationery kit has more than one pencil along with eraser and sharper. Pens are to be kept for initial formalities like form fill up.
