First of all , Yoga is a holistic practice which works Physically and mentally. So one should not make a haste or time limit it as it works on mind ,it needs some patience and mindfulness to perform. Making haste is not going to get the benefits 100 %.It also depends on the person's willingness, if he can manage to do basic asanas and pranayamas in 30mins also. For a new learner student or old student 45 mins to 1 hr is a required time one should practice Yoga.

It depends on your body, there is no one rule fits all in yoga, when you need energy the speed increases so less time is effective and vice Versa. Start with minimum 20 minutes daily.
