For a Nursery or KG demo class, the school is usually evaluating how you interact with children, not how much content you finish. They’ll look for your energy, patience, classroom management, voice modulation, and ability to keep young children engaged.

A 20–30 minute demo could look like this:

1. Warm welcome (3–5 minutes)
• “Good morning, everyone!”
• Introduce yourself with a smile.
• Sing a short hello song and ask each child their name if time allows.
2. Topic: Colors (Best choice for a demo) (10–12 minutes)
• Bring colorful flashcards or real objects.
• Teach 4–5 colors: Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange.
• Ask questions:
• “What color is this?”
• “Can you find something red in the classroom?”
• Make it interactive by letting children point or answer.
3. Action rhyme (5 minutes)
• Sing a rhyme with actions such as:
• “If You’re Happy and You Know It”
• “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”
• This shows your ability to engage children physically.
4. Quick activity (5–7 minutes)
• Give a simple worksheet to match colors or color one object.
• Or ask children to identify objects by color.
5. Revision (2–3 minutes)
• “What color is the apple?”
• “Show me something blue.”
• Praise every child: “Excellent!”, “Very good!”, “Well done!”
