Much of his work has been on improving the understanding, design, and performance of bio-medical imaging system, mainly through the application of disease detection, and performance evaluation. In the biomedical automation arena, he has focused on the cancer cell segmentation and tissue level features extraction. He has given numerous invited talks and guest lectures. Professor Amresh is the author of over 15 papers on visual cryptography, biomedical image analysis and computer systems.
