Dr. Amresh Nikam is Associate Professor of the Department of Master in Computer Applications at Sinhgad Institute of Business Administration and Research, where he has been since 2004. From 2011 to 2015 he served as Editor of International Journal of Computer Science and Applications. He received a B.E. from Pune University in 2002, and MTech. from the Bharti Vidyapeeth in 2006. He received his Ph.D. in Information Technology from the Suresh Gyan Vihar University in 2015. His research interests span both image processing and pattern matching technology. Much of his work has been on improving the understanding, design, and performance of bio-medical imaging system, mainly through the application of disease detection, and performance evaluation. In the biomedical automation arena, he has focused on the cancer cell segmentation and tissue level features extraction. He has given numerous invited talks and guest lectures. Professor Amresh is the author of over 15 papers on visual cryptography, biomedical image analysis and computer systems.
