What is the IELTS examiner looking for?

- Task response

- Clarity and Cohesion

- Lexical resource

- Grammar

How are you scored?

Three examiners score you, the one who is interacting with you, and two who will be listening to your taped conversation with the Examiner.

It promotes very impartial and unbiased opinion and markings.

The Examiner who is in conversation with you is very helpful and does not correct you at all, nor does he /she react to your answers. They only observe and listen intently. Do not fear them. They are very helpful and keen listeners. Engage with them as much as possible with respect and strictly avoid using slangs. If you haven't understood a question, please request with the phrase” I beg your pardon, could you repeat please?”
