I am pursuing my 12th and want to go abroad for further studies. Is it necessary fro me to take IELTS exam?

Yes it is necessary. The score is valid for 2 years and you may take the IELTS any time

Yes. It is essential to take up IELTS test. A band score of 6.5 is acceptable. Some countries ask for 7 band score also. .
