Depending on your English proficiency, the coaching time frame will vary. If it's just a matter of brushing up and understanding the structure of the paper a 40 hour course is enough. But , if you additionally need to brush up or improve your English skills, a longer time period may be required.

Your question itself is very confusing and I will explain why. First, it depends on the student. Second, the background. Third, an independent assessment, as far as Speaking and Writing is concerned. Reading and Listening modules are quantitative, so you can judge for yourself. However, the other two module, Speaking, and Writing does have some very well defined parameters, yet, i dare say, it would be impossible for 10 examiners to assess a student and come to the same conclusion, say 6.5 or 7 or maybe between 7.5 and 8.If your aim is to get a high band say. 7 and above, you must find a guide, a trainer, preferably ONLINE. read less
