Do we need an IELTS score of 8 for taking up GMAT exam?

Hello Anirban, No it is not mandatory to write or have 8 score in IELTS for taking GMAT.

Hi Aniran GMAT is an exam for getting entry into MBA program in B schools abroad and few reputed Indian schools too accept these scores for admission.IELTS is a test of your English skills and getting an 8 band score on IELTS is not a precondition to writing your GMAT.

It is not because gmat and ielts are two separate tests for two different purposes.
