Based on many who have written IELTS, it seems scoring more than 7 in writing is easy. It is all bout focusing on specific parameters which form the basis of the score. The parameters for getting your desired score are. It would be helpful if you made a point that your writing structured. Well structured as in a good introduction, followed by crucial information and ideas and a great conclusion paragraph. Coherence is the ideas that flow like a waterfall. Examiner should not doubt that you are skimming through another context. Using a lot of connectors like 'However' inevitably', 'moreover', besides', also' etc. Next is grammar. Writing a grammatically correct sentence is critical. Using the verbs like "had been", "would have been" but also the proper punctuation. Punctuation is essential. We probably are confused that as to when to use a comma, semicolon, brackets, hyphen, exclamation, etc. Some of the ways we speak English every day will be having a lot of grammatical errors which we don't even know about. We are just used to it that it looks acceptable and we write the same in our answers too which in turn lower our scores. Lastly, it all comes down to handwriting. It should be legible; there should not be spelling errors and no repetitions or the same sentences. Use a pencil so that when you want to make any changes, you can do it easily All the Best. read less

Why smart work works well than hard work for any competitive exam?

Smart work works because you learn how to answer the questions rather than learn the course material. It's not very effective if you're looking to gain knowledge but for competitive exams since time is of essence, it's optimal.
