Hi! My name is Anil. I will start off with my schooling years that I spent equally between India and Trinidad and Tobago (West Indies). This exposure to two very different cultures was very fruitful for me and plays a great role in my approach to things. For my college years, I was off to the US where I received a Bachelor's and Master's in Electrical Engineering. In my fourth year of college, I used to teach introductory topics in Mathematics and Physics to first and second-year engineering students. What I really enjoyed about teaching is having to figure out how a student grasps the subject matter and then adjusting my presentation accordingly. The challenge always motivated me to do better. After completing my education, I went on to work in the US as an Engineer in the Telecom field for about 7 years. More recently, I returned to India and worked for Radio Mirchi where I managed their English station in Hyderabad (Kool FM). I did that for about a year and a half. I currently do some freelance writing work and I also regularly write movie reviews for a publication called fullhyd.com. I look forward to working with you on building a skillset together!

Between feb-dec 2022, I taught students between the ages of 9 and 16 the art of creative writing in a way that they found interesting, interactive, and engaging. I have pursued my M.A(TESL) from EFL-U. Also specialized in phonetics and linguistics. I'm a lecturer as of now but dealt with the school kids for a long time now. I love to work with kids as it is not only teaching but also learning. I don't teach in the traditional way of teaching i.e the lecture method or demonstrative method but i have always practiced the communicative method. This helps the students to be more attentive. I create a friendly atmosphere as the pupil should feel free to express his/her doubts and its just not about teaching but teacher-student bonding which plays an important role in teaching.
