What are some differences between the piano and the guitar?

In piano you can only play notes (swar) but in guitar you can play both notes (swar) as well as (taal) That's the main difference between piano and guitar

Both guitar and piano have string. But standard guitar has only six while piano like ( Grand piano,Upright piano) which has more keys with more than 230 strings. Both guitar and piano have string. But standard guitar has only six while piano like ( Grand piano,Upright piano) which has more keys with more than 230 strings. In case of guitar,its of two dimensional instrument need to find the right notes/ scale/ chords in six ,while in piano all the notes itself start from lowest ( left) to highest ( right) pitch according ly..which is somehow easier to find the notes or play the scale or chords. read less

5 year experience on music and teach.. I have performed on many platforms before...

The guitar is very much a two-dimensional instrument, requiring you to think across six strings to find the right notes, scales, and chords. In contrast, the piano keyboard does not repeat itself. Every note is in line, from lowest in pitch on the left to highest on the right.

You can start with simple strumming... But you'll have to learn chords .. start with the easy ones like A-minor, c-major etc... They are not difficult... Everything needs practice,, so does guitar playing.
