It's totally depend on you, if you learn basic in 1 years on serious note, so it's easy to create or learning time fast

To learn Kathak at a beginner level, it may take around 6 to 12 months of regular practice to be able to perform basic steps and movements and understand the rhythm and the music.

Kathak is a classical dance form and it is degree course.One can take three years degree course i.e.Matriculation.For graduation it is 6 years course.For post graduation it take 3 years more.It is completely depend upon you.Some colleges University offering diploma course also.
